Just ahead of the long weekend, let us share with you some news and interesting upcoming events. As recently announced, the ENTRANCE project Matchmaking Platform is open for registration and we encourage you to sign up to connect with other transport & mobility stakeholders. Also, save-the-date for the next ENTRANCE Digital Event on 26 November! Earlier in the same week, on 23 November, a workshop on IWT digitalization is being organised as a joint initiative of several European projects and sector organisations. Join us! We are happy to announce that another EU-funded project – PIONEERS – has been kicked-off in October, where IWT Platform joins a large and ambitious consortium of 46 partners to rethink all aspects of port operations. More details below. And if you have some time, fill in the new STEERER project’s survey ‘Scenarios on the future of the waterborne transport.’  To flag one particular item – take a look at the Routescanner: a new free online container routing platform where you can find the options available to ship your goods from point A to B. It provides reliable schedule information to search for an optimal solution for your cargo. Brilliant idea! Uitbreiding doelgroep elektronische meldplicht per 1 december 2021 Vanaf woensdag 1 december 2021 zal er een uitbreiding van de doelgroep van de elektronische meldplicht plaatsvinden.Meer informatie op de volgende websites: • BICS • CCR Deze meldplicht geldt voor zowel lege als geladen reizen. De aangevulde lijst met meldplichtige doelgroepschepen zal vanaf dat moment bestaan uit: • Containerschepen • Tankschepen (informatiedocument) • Riviercruiseschepen • Vaartuigen, duwstellen en samenstellen langer dan 110 meter • Zeeschepen • Schepen met LNG-aandrijving • Bijzondere transporten U kunt de BICS-software gebruiken om te kunnen voldoen aan deze elektronische meldplicht. Voordat u gebruik kunt maken van BICS heeft u een tweetal accounts nodig, namelijk: • Een RWS-account (Dit is hetzelfde als een Sluisplanning en/of Vaarweginformatie account) • Een BICS-account Wacht niet tot het laatste moment met het aanvragen van een BICS-account. Dit is nu al mogelijk op de BICS website. Mocht dit tot vragen leiden, neem dan gerust contact op met de BICS-helpdesk. U kunt uw vraag ook via e-mail sturen middels het BICS-contactformulier. Wijziging elektronische meldplicht op de Moezel per 1 juli 2021 De Moezel Commissie heeft een wijziging in de elektronische meldplicht op de Moezel aangekondigd met ingang van 1 juli 2021. Hiervoor heeft de Moezel Commissie een flyer gepubliceerd. De flyer kan op de website van de Moezel Commissie worden gedownload in het Nederlands en het Duits.
